That was lovely! LOL, don't they just catch you when you least expect it? That could very easily be a true story, or from a true experience. I love children and their so innocent faces and ways. No one could be cross with a lovely angel offering her mama a daisy. Well done, Yvette, and good luck in the contest. :)) Sandra xx

Thanx so much for your wonderful comments about the little 'Stacy Fairy Princess', Sandra - lol! ;) I never had a little girl, but I did have one little niece... and from all the conversations and comparisons with 'mom friends' through out the years, I'm thinking I'm pretty blessed with all my boys!! :) Thanx for stopping by, my lady -- Merry Christmas Time!! ;) Yvette

A very well-written seventy five word flash fiction about the words that sound the same with different meanings often cause confusion and misunderstandings that we can laugh about and still remember many years later.

Children aim to please and always want to help their parents, their innocents should be nurtured and then they become well balanced adults, I enjoyed your story Yvette, love Dolly x

Oh indeed,
As they say, 'out of the mouths of babes' comes some of the
most precious reminders of how a child interprets a request
or comment, in real time, real world acts, even a parents!
Little Stacy, stole show with her sweet offering of garden
daisy to her mom, irrespective of actual item sought or
expected, but a break her too busy mom needed!
So neat Nadia melted into humorous appreciation!
Relatable little human story in this 75 wore flash fiction!
Thanks for sharing dear, love the way you always incorporate
the human element or reflection in your subject or contests!
Blessings, Ronni

Your ultra-concise (as required by the prompt) story is so cute and well-written. Yes, children are unwitting experts at providing much-needed comic relief.

I think this is a lovely story for the 75 Words Flash Fiction.
Your story is well told, has a surprise ending, and an 'ah' moment.
Well done and good luck to you with the contest.

Homonyms can cause such confusion, or in this case, such a lovely, touching story. Stacie was only doing her best to fulfill the request and make mama happy. Looks like she succeeded. This is precious. You made me giggle. Best of luck in the contest with this jewel.

Please forgive my 'running behind' again and 'short response'... as mid-terms close in, my tutoring schedule has ballooned and my 'free time' has all but vanished! Exams are next week so there is a light at the end of the tunnel - LOL! :) A very Merry Christmas to you from my little corner of the world!! ;) Yvette

Lol! I loved it! Flour/Flower - which one would a child hear? Naturally, the flower! As for the title - I was going to object because I used to grow Shasta daisies and after I cut some for the house, I never did again because of the bathroom odor they exuded! I was sure that flies pollinated them.
Best wishes on the contest!
