I could visualize this well on a stage. Some very funny lines without rubbing people the wrong way too badly. Seems costumes would be important for this one!

CC,

hahaha It seems that John and Shorty get into all kinds of situations, don't they? I hadn't thought about it, but I guess I didn't realize popcorn was available back in the West. haha I write Westerns, also. Haven't ever given popcorn one thought. Very interesting! Thank you!

Nicely done and entertaining. Loved the image of those guys pulling the cow prop across the stage with a rope. Fun!

Hard to believe someone in 1896 Wyoming has never milked a cow. i wonder what the fascination with popcorn is. Interesting script, are you taking it further? Or is this a one-shot deal?

Well, Shorty is from Kansas City or back east. This is a little prequel to a longer script I might post after the holidays. There were two other short scripts using those characters I posted earlier called "John Shane Gets A Sidekick" and "Maurice de Fleess" where they meet a French fur trapper. Thanks for reviewing!

Great work with this. I enjoyed the dialog and you did a great job with the dialect. The Swedish were such wonderful settlers in the U.S. How fortunate that John and Shorty met up with a dairy farmer. I'm glad Swen had Jersey cows. My dad always had Jerseys. You have a clever way of showing the cows, too. Very enjoyable, and I'm glad you're writing scripts. I'm sorry I haven't reviewed more of your work, but it seems like things always come up that prevent me for reviewing as much as I'd like to. judi

I enjoyed your script, CC. Your characters are hilarious in their parts. The John Wayne character is true to life. Shorty is short some brains I think. Your lines flow well with good descriptive words. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully with Love, Jan

Yes, Shorty is short in more than one way. Thank you so much for reviewing today.

Loved the farming humor for a cowboy who seems to know so little about farming. Guess he thought all cattle were male?

The dialogue was great. You did a wonderful job with the spoken accents!

Loved the misunderstanding on how Farmer Sven acquired his farm. (I suspect that Sven's father knew exactly what he was doing!)

Great job!

I chuckled my way through this and enjoyed the Swedish dialogue, and particularly the choice of name for the dairy farmer. I didn't pick up anything that needed correction.

Ummmmmm... I am completely and udderly taken aback. Did that cow just tip over when I tried to milk her?
Waddaya mean, it were not a cow?

Hahahaha. Okay, that's it, done pulling your leg. (But I am still flamboozled...)

This is a well-written, interesting script. The dialogue seems realistic and your characters seem like quite characters, really come to life. I love the added humor. thanks for the laugh.

I really enjoyed reading your script and the fun western/Scandinavian dialogue you used. The theme was fun and was clever to use in the humor. Well done... wish I had a six star for your... tis that good. :)
