This is a vividly descriptive, skillfully written, delightful poem. You have conveyed a powerful message about appreciation for nature's offerings.
I especially like your ponderings about "how few years I have been around."

Very nice use of metaphors in describing the playground of life. It is always in motion, forever changing. As we witness through you beautiful symbols described as wash ashore pebbles. You observe these pebbles in the course of their change just as each day is a change of earth. Very nice!

This is a very unique and wonderful poem. My favorite line hit me instantly - my mind reels in the knowledge that I hold centuries in my clutch. Very well worded. Great rhyming. Perfect picture. A wonderful contest entry. Good luck!

I love that you find interest in everything that surrounds you and your mind rushes on to analyze. You held the fossils in your hand and wondered how many shores they have kissed and returned them to perpetuity. I loved the reading of this poem. I should have waited until tomorrow and give you 6 stars.

I thank you profoundly!
Comment from Debbie Pope
This is an interesting poem and interesting artwork. I like your use of art in nature. Isn't that where all art comes from? Isn't nature the ultimate inspiration for beauty and perfection? I particularly like the last line which aptly shows the perspective of the art viewer. I like the idea of nature providing the viewing spot to observe its mighty work.
Nice job with this one. This is an excellent response to the prompt.
