Daily challenge- to forgive and forget others and appreciate one another for their good points. We don't have to wait another year to mend relationships. Well said.

You certainly have the correct number of syllables, five on each of four lines, amounting to twenty in all and, although the New Year is not actually mentioned in the poem, it reads like a sound New Year's resolution to me.

Love your poem. You're absolutely right. Prayer is so needed. Forgiveness is so necessary, too. If we didn't have either in the world today, the world would be in a horrible state of mind.

Well done and a good message for sure. Forgive, love. This morning my husband and I lead an elementary Sunday School class - the chosen story is I Cor. 13 - the Love chapter. Hard to explain this - when kids do have problems just like us - and bullies.
Hoping to get participation from the kids.

Thank you for your comments and six stars. I appreciate it so much. The children will remember the love and acceptance they felt from you both, you are the love and example. God Bless.

A wonderful offering, dear Laura. I seldom give sixes for a short poem, but this was simply stated, both a poem and a prayer for 2020.
Sending you my best today as always, and six stars to bless you,
Sally xoxo

This is a great entry for the 20 syllable new year poem contest. Your syllable count is correct. You have provided very important advice for the new year about the importance of forgiveness. Great job and thank you for sharing.

A very well-written twenty syllable poem about forgiveness that is the key to find joy in your heart and peace on your mind. Many times we neglect to forgive ourselves too and we still burdened with bitterness.
