Hello Yvette. I like this poem very much. You used clouds in context. The picture you found is awesome. I like your six five 6-5-6-5 meter and rhyme scheme. Well done. Good luck in the contest. Z

I love the metaphors and imagery in this poem! It caught my imagination right from the start and held it all the way through. You picked metaphors that are unique and original. The rhythm brings a sense of simplicity with it, and your vocabulary was nicely varied. I love to see this level of creativity in poems!

I think this is a good entry for the Calling All Neophophiles! contest.
This well rhymed verse tells of several descriptions of clouds, but I like Grandma's best.
Well done and I wish you lots of luck with the contest.

I've always watched the clouds and looked for shapes in them. I like the idea of them being angels' brush strokes. I hardly know one type of cloud from another, but that doesn't keep me from enjoying them all. Well done, Yvette. Good luck in the contest.

This is really an exceptional poem. There are so many things I loved about it. Your grandma saying clouds are the brushstrokes of angels is a great line. I love that you name the different clouds. You remind us to look
up and let go.

Hi Yvette. The last stanza especially "does it" for me. "Look up and let go" is a fantastic line. Mostly I notice clouds when I'm driving. The sky out west is particularly vast and impressive. Best of luck in the contest. Marilyn

Teachers have so much on their plate these days. Glad I went with a straight art degree and not the teaching route. UGH!

A very well-written poem about the clouds in the sky that sometimes look like mini pictures and shapes painted by unseen angels it is a free kaleidoscope show for all to see who care to look up.

A very good entry to the contest. Nicely done in description and I love the idea of the angels being part of it. Great rhyme and flow and a fun one to read

Only you can teach science with such artistry! A beautiful poem. I'm sorry I've misssd so much of your work in recent months. Just not sure if I'll decide I can renew FS in March when it comes up for renewal. Work continues to consume me this year. We'll see how things go in the next couple of months, but I want you to know how much I enjoy reading your work and I wish you the best in the new year.

Oh, Carla, thank THANK YOU for those lovely stars, my lady, and thanks so much for joining the show! :) And, WELCOME BACK!! I totally understand your position with work as there is no way in hell I could have done anything like this when the boys were still at home and I was still full time...and that's not an exaggeration! ;) You can always just stop in once in a while and check in without paying your fee (I think you can at least read? Not sure...).... will send you my email address in a PM if you'd like to just keep in touch...? Anyway, just so glad to just see your face -- sending prayers for a good second semester.... take care of you as that is the most important thing: if momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy! ;) :) Yvette

Oh Yvette...I?d love to stay in touch! I?m still thinking about the quitting thing. I?d miss it. It?s just, well, you get it. As March grows closer I will let you know what I decide and yes, I?d like to exchange e-mails if I do decide to leave.

What an intuitive grand-mother you had. 'The brushstrokes of angels' is very expressive and a great phrase to describe the beautiful clouds we witness if we care to look upwards. Good luck in the contest.
