Oh my, what beautiful parrots.

We can't let ourselves slip into confrontation. Two hot heads have to back off and/or the more rational of the two back off and leave the other one with mouth agape. Good job. Marilyn

What a striking, eye-catching artwork! Since we put up a birdfeeder, I have learned that birds are much more confrontational than I expected. Thank you for your good advice and rhymes in this 5-7-5. Best wishes in the contest- Joan

I think this is a good entry for the 5-7-5 Poetry contest.
This short verse has some excellent advise about stopping to breath before a confrontation can arise.
Well done and I wish you luck with the contest.
Sharon

Hi June, I love the birds, and the sage advice that they come with! I wish everyone would just stop... and take a breath! There should be a note on the Presidential Tweet button... before you Tweet... take a Presidential breath and count to 100!!! Then take another! LOL Who am I kidding... probably wouldn't help... lol

Ah, June, this is very good advice stated simply and succinctly. Too often conversation can degenerate into argument and both parties say things they regret later. Rod

Hello June!
Such wise words are presented in your well-crafted 5/7/5 offering. If only more people would follow your advice! So many people never truly listen to another speaker = too intent on the importance of making a smart-____ comeback!

Thank you for sharing!

This short little poem has much wisdom in it! The picture almost resembles a mama imparting this wisdom to her daughter.
If more adults would heed this...

June,

I too like cleo85's artwork - good choice with your 5-7-5 entry!

Those parrots or macaws - maybe they are parakeets? - do chatter a bit. With such colorful birds, you can spice up your text by colorizing your few words (-:

Mark

Lest or less? Methinks either takes on a different nuance.
