A beautifully written senryu that speaks of the joy of a child, tears can come from sorrow but also from sheer joy. I've enjoyed my grandchildren possibly more than my own children, why? We have an opportunity, of what we might have missed with our kids. Well done, good entry, good luck, blessings Roy

This is such a nice poem. I think that it is well-written and fun to read. Also, I really like the image you chose for this poem. All in all, a very pleasant read.

Hello Author, I like your Senryu. I'm not sure about the way the punctuation and the capitalization is used, I tried to look it up but it seems the world is conflicted about it as well. Some say, "no" others say, "yes, but sparingly" so I'm not sure what to say about the way it's used here. I like it though, format notwithstanding. :_

A very sweet poem that you have written. Tears of joy are truly the best ones, no one likes tears of sadness, that's for sure. Best of luck in the contest!

A very well-written Senryu about human teardrops that are falling sometimes in pain or mourning and other times we shed a tear of pure joy or laughter.

Love this and am out of sixes! I speak with 30 Head Start and pre-school classes a week. We just discussed how people can cry when they are sad OR happy! How we can actually laugh until we cry. Amazing that I chose to read this this very morning. It is lovely. Great job. Fantastic topic and photo choice. The overall effect is wonderful!

Comment from Gloria ....
What a cute photograph, author. :) So true that tears don't always mean sorrow. Your senryu is subtle which is nice in that the satori line starts at the last word of the second line and carries into the third.
An excellent entry into the contest and I wish you much luck in the voting booth.

Hello Mystery writer. This is a 5-7-5 senryu that conforms to the style in meter and content. Tears of joy are very important in a world filled with sadness. Good luck in the contest. Robert

A sweet little piece that captures the essence of childlike joy! Happy tears are a powerful reminder that emotions are what links the human family. We feel.

Very nicely written and so true. People usually associate tears with sadness but many she'd tears of joy and gladness. Tears wash away pain and brings joys. Beautiful picture too.
