Thank you so much for going back and reading this prologue. When I started writing I had no idea how far this would go. Now I'm working on the sixty-ninth chapter and I've filled twenty-one years of memories. I don't know how far it will go. It is way too many words for just one book.

I have started reading about your life story...chapter one. As I read, I will comment on each chapter. Don't worry it will only be good comments not bad. It's not always easy to write about one's life and share their own story with other people.

I am amazed that you are willing to read this when it isn't paying anything any more but I am delighted you are willing.

It's funny sometimes, how we meet and connect with our partners.

I just found one tiny spag:

I remembered how much you liked it back in fifties - did you mean to write 'back in the fifties'?

Best wishes
Judy

Thanks for the review and the comments. You're amazing. So many people have read that and you are the first to catch it. I need you for a proofreader.

Someone on here called me 'Eagle Eye' which I considered a great compliment. lol However, you make very few mistakes.

We usually don't forget the good moments - the moments of blessing. Your story sounds somewhat like mine, in that I didn't intend to get married, I didn't have a real mind-boggling love - just knew it was the nest step.
well done story.

This is absolutely lovely and a tearjerker. Sixty-one years is a long time and then to be separated like this. Hope you are coping well and that God comforts you as only He knows how. So sorry for your loss.

Thank you so much for the review and your comments. As I said, I'll never stop missing him but I still have a good life and I believe I will see him again. This just inspired me to write again.

Touching as always, Beth. always look forward to the next installment. Powerful and poignant: too young to be aware that each day was one less you'd have together...a tear not meaning sadness but nostalgia--a fresh twist on the tired tears=sadness. Cheers. LIZ

Thank you for reading. The prologue is a little sad. I don't shed tears often. I'm thankful for the years we had and as I said, life is still good. I love my life as it is now, but it is fun remembering the past. I like to laugh so I'm looking forward to more of your writing.

I really enjoyed your story, Beth. What a nice thing to write for your husband and your children. My mother died on Halloween, and I found love letters that my father wrote her when they were dating. Reading those letters was hard, but I am so glad that I did so. It opened my eyes to my parents as people. Your story will do the same thing. Good luck.

Thank you so much for the review and comments. Those love letters we wrote were destroyed in a fire. I think my children are starting to see me in a new light because I'm writing this.

He was very loved... You honor him with this write which flows seamlessly from your heart to the page. How blessed you both were to have 61 wonderful years together. Still, we never have enough time with our soulmate do we? I applaud your goal of capturing your lives together for your children--there are so many things I now wish I'd known about my parents, now that they've both passed on... God Bless.--Karenina

Thank you so much Karenina, I appreciate the review and comments. Not everything I write is just about the good things. We had many up and downs. I hope to tell it all. I appreciate you reading this.

I don't know a life or love that has not endured both peaks and valleys--and in telling the truth of both you will send a valuable lesson about endurance and patience as well as love.--Karenina

This is such a sweet personal letter to your late husband remembering all your times of smooth sailing and the times you needed to work things out. I'm sure your children will love to read everything you have to say.

Thank you so much for the review and comments. My children are reading it already. I'm into genealogy and I wish my ancestors, who I know nothing about would have left something in writing of their lives.

This is a beautiful story. You're not afraid to admit the positives and negatives of a relationship. You humanized your husband with the daily weekend visits. Nice job. The death of a loved one can be crippling. I'm glad you remembered the good times.
