Oh, how lovely. Which came first, the picture or the poem? I want to go floating down that stream. Congratulations on your first-place finish. It was well deserved.

Hi Darlene. So grateful for your review and encouraging words. The poem came first and I got lucky with the whimsical art. :). Thank you.

Hi, your poem has so many things for an 8-syllable poem: rhyme and really good imagery for starters. A beautiful thought//the water is not in a hurry like take the journey to happiness. Good luck in the contest.

Ciao mystery poet I gave you your 5 th vote.
Your fantasy entry for some reason reminded me of Atreyu and Falkor and his quest to save Fantasia from the devouring Nothing.
Atreyu to succeed must find the " cure " to save the Child Princess who is dying.
WhenAtreyu dies, Bastion , the boy who is reading the book magically becomes part of the story itself ....he saves the Princess by giving her a new name : Moon Child, and with his imagination he recreates Fantasia.

You've written an excellent 1-6-1 poem for the contest
with very good imagery and three solid external rhymes
plus the extra internal rhyme. A lot to put into such
a short poem. Well done.
Excellent art work to match
Best wishes in the contest
