Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

Our memories are precious, so I envy the ease with which you manage to write them down and make them interesting to an outsider. One of the things that constantly shines through is the support of your parents so, in a way, you are keeping their memory alive as well. I have a six left before tomorrows new allocation, so it's yours!

I think much about what I'm writing other that trying to remember. I know it would be much harder to write a novel. My parents were very supportive and I will write stories they told as well. There is one in my portfolio called Mortgage Money about when they first got married.

Struggles to get through college remains to this day yet. We have teachers in our family and they work hard to get through college and then get to be an established teacher. Now with the co-vid, studies are at home for them and their students.

I have granddaughter in college now and the are having most of their classes on line. This must be quite a change for teachers.

Trying to play catch up with your life since it is close to my own experiences although I never got offered a ride from a stranger. Too plain and flat chested. LOL. I had problems with disciplining students too. College doesn't have a class that covers that.

Wow, you're going back a ways. I'm sorry it's not still paying. Thank you for reviewing it. I don't think that matters as to how you look as long as you're female. LOL

-In P1, "football players grades" should be football players' grades

-In P1, "to a D's in college" should be to D's in college

-Should never argue with a professor (most of the time you won't win. And, should always know the assigned material)

-P5, "bought it home" should be brought it home

Line space between P7 and P8 needed

For most people who have attended college, this relates well those experiences and the day-to-day that goes along with it.

Continues to be an interesting, and entertaining, read.

My reviews are mere suggestions. Feel free to use anything that provides assistance and/or chuck the whole shebang.

Thank you so much for the comments and suggestions. I will fix those things immediately. I never argued with another professor. I learned the hard way. Beth

I really enjoy reading these stories. I can imagine the time crunch and the head aches. I'm sure you've learned the lesson about not accepting rides from strangers. Please keep writing.

Thanks for sharing this conversation with your husband. I wonder if you could change it from "telling" to "showing" by giving us direct conversation and dialogue? Even though your beloved is deceased, you could have him talk back to you.
So glad that the Lord protected you from that scary man you offered you a ride!

Thank you for reading and commenting on my story. One or two other have mentionedmore dialogue and others say it works without it. I've tired a little more in some of the chapters. One thing is the dialogue stretches it out and the chapters are pretty long as they are. I'll try adding a little more.

Oops with the pubic hair part that must have been really weird and awkward! Oh and taking the lift in rain without thinking it through was really a mistake and I am just glad it wasn't more than just a scare! Good thinking on your part to pretend you life in a different house!
And I agree its mostly in the head! Once you convince your mind that its not that big of a deal then suddenly....it ain't!
Best wishes for the coming chapter :-)

I've always enjoyed biographies, and I was wondering who "you" was, as I forgot that you are addressing to your deceased husband. Thank you Beth for sharing these events in your life, my elder daughter married at nineteen, while her and her husband were still studying, my son in law wouldn't let me help them, it broke my heart to see them struggle, but they made it and are quite comfortable now, and incredibly generous to all...and us. Well done Beth, most enjoyable, blessings, Roy

Thank you so much for your review and comments. My mother and dad didn't help with money and we wouldn't have let them anyway. but they did help with giving us food from the garden and other help like mom making clothes for me to wear to school. When you young and in love it does feel like it too much of a struggle. It would be now. Beth

So glad to be back on your story again. Still a good read as always. Keep up the good work as I used to tell my music students. Just one little miss... started having the same kind (of)vision experiences
