Hey, hey; It's LisaMay;
She scores again; with him and hymn.
Yes, indeed, a clever play; though I hardly need to say;
She raises praise both in this verse; and anything we read of hers!

Cheers. LIZ

A very busy 5-7-5 poem about singing in the church choir to praise the Lord is a honor and humble deed we can do to be close to our brothers and sisters spending holy time with Him singing hymns.

I like this witty, clever, and well thought out work you've penned here. Spending time with hymn, Him. Well played! I like what you've done with this and enjoyed reading this inspirational and well written work. Well done!

You have followed the requirements for a haiku-type composition.

Your picture was well chosen for your 5-7-5.

What a great play on words with 'hymn'.

Best of luck in the 5-7-5 writing prompt contest.

Hi Mystery Author
I think music is overlooked in many churches today. The main part of the service tends to be the sermon, which is generally repetitive in order to get the point across to many on the verge of sleep. Sad, but true.
You focus on music reaching into the uppermost beams of the church, and eventually to Heaven, to God Himself.
I like your play on words, with "Hymn" instead of "Him".
Good Luck in the prompt! I count 5-7-5 syllables.
Cheers,
Kimbob

A good 5-7-5 that speaks about raising all of our voices in unison to praise and please the God above! Singing along together creates such a harmonious bond between any gathering! Best wishes for the contest and have a great day :-)

Hello Mystery Writer,
Not only do I appreciate your sentiments, I also appreciate the "play on words" of "Hymm." Clever and well-crafted!

Best Wishes!

Yes! I am so feeling the spirit! Sing praises - to the Lord. Another inspiration for the beautiful Lenten season. You've well executed within the rules of the contest. Nice cover image with a true meaning, and great story in a few wordings. Good-luck!

Hello my friend

A very insightful poem. A fine entry for the 5/7/5 contest. I like the double meaning if Hymn... just perfect. I hope Singing Praises does well in the contest.
