I will send you a link to Dorothy Brown in La. A senior lady. Katrina was the other Cyclone or Hurricane they went through, Her hubby was terminally ill. I wil let her tell you the rest. I wrote a poem about her hubby on a fishing trip with some guys. It is in my Book of "Poultry" if interested.

I find it therapeutic but I'm mostly doing it for my children so they will know what our lives were like. I appreciate you reading and comments.

Thank you for sharing that. I had read about the poll tax and the test but never knew anybody who actually witnessed it. Thank you for letting us know about that. Our early history is not a bed of roses.

The stress of pregnancy and home ownership can be a real test of your strength as a mother and wife. Nowadays buying a home is nearly impossible unless you make millions so I congratulate you on such a terrific achievement
