You used your words well--love the braying bagpipes and the stirring skirl--learned a new word today, thanks to you and Google. You are wise to take advantage of title and subtite in such a short poem. Cheers. LIZ

Thanks. "Skirl" has rather limited possibilities for use.

This seven-word poem, The Solitary Piper, has the right number of words in it and evokes the sense of sadness and nostalgia as the pipes play across the valley.

You have made excellent use of your few words allowed by the prompt in this vividly descriptive one-liner. You made effective word choices and used great artwork,

I've been to Glencoe and there was a piper there - it was so atmospheric.
    Thanks for reviewing.

You have put lovely words strung together, and then found the perfect picture. Purple is a favorite color of mine too. It got my attention right off the bat. Good luck in the contest!

A very well-written seven word poem about the solitary Piper blueing the bag pipes from high in the mountain so that the sounds go over the valleys for all to hear.

I like your poem and you made a beautiful presentation for it. I did not find a single error. If I had a six it would be yours. Good luck in the contest. Shirley

Wow - your words alone elicit both audible melodies and beautiful visions... I've always just loved the word 'gloaming' because of the strength of it meaning in both the sound of the word and the appearance!! ;) Best of luck at the polls! ;)
