This 1-6-1 poem, Unforgettable, has the right number of words in it and notes the items kept close at hand to link the present with the loved but absent past.

Last night, I spent way too much time trying to compose a poem for this contest. So, I know how hard it is to do a good job under those limitations.
Your poem makes perfect sense. I like that it is one complete thought. I don't like the ones where the third line just summarizes the first two, although I have certainly done my share of those.
Yours makes sense, and it's words are true and meaningful.
Nice job.

Thank you for sharing your encouraging feedback. Poetry has been a good distraction for me, but my muse does not always cooperate!

You've written an excellent 1-6-1 poem for the contest
with three very good rhymes and exact syllables.
A very nice theme of mementos that that bring comfort.
Wonderful art work to match your words.
Well done.
Best wishes in the contest.
Robert

Oh, how many of these do we have 'hanging' round the house...? ;) ;) Countless, yeah?! ;) A wonderful offering for the contest - best of luck at the polls! ;)

Mementos can be comforting these days. We can reminisce about happier times...

Hello Mystery Writer,
How perceptive you are! I, too, keep treasured mementos near for they do bring me cheer when I remember and reflect upon days gone by and loved ones...

Best Wishes!

Mementos are good reminders, we keep them near us, but glamour by degrees shade but love and romance would not; well said, well done; thank you for sharing this.

I can easily relate to this poem now that I am forced to stay inside. My office is filled with "mementoes" I treasure. Just seeing them makes me sentimental. Good job conveying your message in only 8 syllables. Rod

When the future looks uncertain, we tend to treasure and appreciate the past a little more. Thanks for taking the time to share your sentiments.
