The mind keeps the thought alive, the spirit must let it go? I don't know the meaning of the word "hap" so I found the poem a little confusing, but's a good distillation of how to deal with negative thoughts.

Hap is an occurrence, or happening in the mind. In this case the character has a negative occurrence. Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
