This was a very thoughtful and accurate poem. I especially loved the line:
" never left to cry in silent storms"
You are very correct. We are worried about our homeless too, we are under lockdown and must stay at home but they have no homes to stay in.

Sorry for the disqualification in the etheree contest. This thoughtful poem shines a light on a neglected population. What is being done to help them. I have heard locally, here in WA, of a motel that has been secured for some homeless, but I'm sure it's a drop in the bucket. Thanks for sharing.

I often think about the homeless, and the line about them being so uninformed is what I think about a lot. I wonder if they know what's going on in this Covid-19 pandemic. I'm sure they know a bit of it beacuse they are forced to leave parks and such where they use to Rome but I feel sympathy for them. I know alot of them have been through some crazy things.

Hello kahpot. Your poem is very thoughtful and well written. The subject is hard to express well but you did it well. I like the form of your etheree poem and it has an excellent appearance.

Kahpot,
My goodness, I love the formating of this homeless poem. I also pray for those unforunate ones than myself. We are so blessed and most of us know it. But, everyone is not so blessed. We should NEVER forget the homeless, the destitute, the poor or the needed ones. They pray silently for help, with so much pride they may not ask for assistance. Prayer is FREE, which we can do or them every day. Yet, we can also say hello, and have a conversation with hem when we can. We all want hope, so do them. This is a lovely written poem. Good job! I love the photo. Thank you very much. Happy writing:-).

This is so uniformed and speaks with vibrancy. It is carefully composed and tightly written and has much truth and value to take away from it and apply to the world around us. I like the chalk board presentation and the picture is of high quality and clear in both the artwork and the writing.

I have never written an Etheree, but you have used teh required 1-10 and 10-1 syllable requirements highlighting the plight of the homeless and a very unique way.

I could feel you passion.

Enjoyed.

You have painted a sad picture of homelessness. I cannot imagine the feeling of suc insecurity and hopelessness. The soup kitchens are open in the city where I live and money is being raised to help feed them. Probably not enough though. And difficulty to keep the two metre distancing. Wonderful poem!

A sad and poignant piece that reminds us of the many who suffer - invisible and forgotten. We need to be less judgmental and more concerned for those less fortunate. Thank you for the reminder.

Someone

Hello my friend,

Well done, you bring up an important issue in your well written poem.

We are told to stay home but homeless people can't do that.

There are approximately 550,000 homeless persons in the United States, the spread of Covid-19 presents a uniquely grave threat.
