Good poem - I've often thought a goat would be nice - but they eat other things besides grass - and they love to climb on things - like your car. anyway the coyotes or cougars would eat them around here.

Being bored seems to be everyone's past time these days. It's one of those things you can't control. It controls us!! No matter what I find to do, I eventually end up wandering the house cuz I'm bored!
Good job!
I like the picture of the grass grown up around your arse! LOL
Keep safe!

Thanks Parry! I don't usually get bored, but some jobs will always be boring!

A very well-written 5-7-5 suite about the lonely lockdown days that seem to pass at a snail's pace and every hour feels like two and the day seems not to come to an end, we will do anything to pass the time.

Lol. I'm glad that Jim suggested you to add the funniest verse of your poem. Poor goat. But they do eat just about anything! Perhaps sheep would be safer. Hope you get your cat soon. They like grass but they also like to puke inside.

Are you really paying us to partake of this whimsical delight? Clever bit about running out of gas and wishing you had a sheep to do the job. Mowing is the only form of yardwork I don't hate. If it's green it's good. One man's weeds are another woman's garden. Cheers. LIZ

Ha ha ha, these are fun rhymes and you made me smile and goats are pretty stupid at times, but eating and overcoat? Ha ha ha, a fun read, love Dolly x

This is light and breezy and quite appropriate for this season.
Your cartoon art selection is perfect to enforce this theme.
Great job!
I can be an arse at times!

What the "F" is going on?
All of my recent posts are starting out in the basement. I'm assuming their is
a huge influx of postings.
-
Have you put money on them? I've noticed a lot more postings - people with time on their hands.
-
No, that would be foolish.
In the 140's and 150'son page 5 and 6,
6 posts nearly wasted
Forget it!
-
Well, at least you didn't waste your money. I did myself a favour by fanning you so i don't miss out.

Thanks Lisa, I value your support.

Actually, I really liked this, because you defined so many truths. Before lawnmowers folks had sheep in the back yard. The fact that you give truth to it makes it all the funnier. As I write this review I'm facing a tough choice like that on what to do.

An amazing idea of having a sheep and a goat to keep the grass mowed and much cheaper too. I thought this was very sweet. Lots of rhyme and good imagery. Nicely done!

Hi Lisa. I agree with your premise. When we didn't have to worry about the isolation brought on by the virus, we were busier but got more done. We have stuff to do, but don't do it. Marilyn
