Go!! Book yourself a cabin in the woods and enjoy the Spring!! ;) Love this offering, my lady, and the 'thrill of the hike' that it exudes! :) Best of luck in the rest of the month's contest! :) Yvette

Thanks for reviewing. Spring's a long way off here; I'm busy enjoying Autumn now.

Exercise is great. I hope you can contain your hot feet to stay home. There are so many online videos for exercise. I yoga pose around at the most unlikely of moments myself. Nice poem. Good work
God bless you :)

LisaMay, your mind is a terrible organ to waste. :) With the life of wander that is in your heart, it sucks being in lockdown. But since you are it appears that writing is a way to wander. Yet, physical activity is also needed. Cut your grass and pretend you're in the wilderness, take your camera take pics of crickets, pretend you're in Africa, shooting(with you camera) giant butterflies. :) Use your mind for something else instead of feeling down. Everyone is going crazy being held down. Take care woman there are dangers in the jungle. :)

Thanks for your review, Jose. (I've been slow in responding because I am writing so much - this lockdown has triggered so many emotions and observations.) I've been wandering, internally, in the jungle.

Definitely and personally I believe we should seek out wild - go wherever you can - by yourself - to beauty spots =- sit and contemplate, write, breath in fresh air and pray that we can return out country to work. people need to work.

Thank you so much for your binge reviewing of my poems and your assessment of a couple of them as 6 star worthy. I really appreciate your comments.

This 5-7-5 suite, Existence is Tame, has the right set up and sees inside the caged creatures restrained mind which seeks the freedom without.

A very well-written lockdown 5-7-5 suite about the urge to be free to go outside and do whatever we want with who we want to socialize. If we have not much to do we can easily get bored locked up.

We are lucky to have the bush at our back door. I can understand your frustration at having to socially isolate - and who knows how long it may continue?

Being rural will keep you away from the main drama I hope.

That is our thinking too.

The message rendered in your poem is received. Then further affirmation in your Author's notes declares your deep frustration with the lockdown. I feel your pain, but hang in there, This too will pass.

Yes, I'm frustrated, but I always am when i can't have what I want. Big baby! However, I do not wallow as i feel blessed to have other activities that happily engage me.

I am so thankful to be able to write and communicate with people on this site. I shudder to think how lonely it would be without this connection.

I do feel for you. Fortunately you have creative talent so you can make the best of the lockdown. I find it much easier to adapt than my husband. He so wants to break free, probably it's his Viking heritage!
We've started to make a list of the positive effects of the virus. It's uplifting.
Stay safe and healthy.

It is a blessing indeed to have creative outlets to occupy my mind and time.
Listing the positives is a good idea. We'll find there are many.
I hope your husband does not go berserk with that Viking blood in him! (In the Old Norse written corpus, berserkers were those who were said to have fought in a trance-like fury, a characteristic which later gave rise to the modern English word berserk (meaning "furiously violent or out of control"). Berserkers are attested to in numerous Old Norse sources.)

I know what you mean although staying in the wilderness overnight has never been something I cared to do. I live in wilderness country in a very low populated area quite near three different lakes. I hope you will be able to do what you love to do sooner then you thought.

Thanks for your comments. You don't need to go camping - it sounds like you're already living in lovely surroundings!

I think domestic travel is all anyone might be brave enough to undertake in the forseeable future.
