I can imagine that was a logistical nightmare. I had enough problems with one baby at a time (nearly five years apart) so I can imagine you were 'awash' with dirty nappies. So glad you had no problems keeping your number five position in the authors list - it is well deserved!

Than you so much Alexis. It is always good to see your name pop up and I hope you'll soon be writing on FanStory again. I was pleased that I didn't lose my place. I didn't know what to expect.

Twins are a lot of work but are so busy and fun to have around. When they get older you can dress them the same unless one is a boy and the other is a girl. Babies grow up way too fast.

Twins are fun but when they reach the terrible two that start to get to be almost too much.

Another missed chapter. You must be ploughing these out two a day or something. I know the limit is two chapters a day for posting. Well done and no spags.

Thank you for the review and comment. I'm sorry you are missing so and until after they're not paying. I've been doing two a week usually on Friday and Sunday. They are on for four days.

And it is beautifully written. They will love to have this and understand what a struggle it would have been when they were just babies. It is hard work, indeed. I love to follow your story. Ulla:)))

Thank ;you Ulla, I appreciate your review and nice comments. It was a lot of work but I think I would do it all again. We enjoyed them so much when they were little.

Twins! Oh dear...but your story reminds me of my mom, she and dad adopted my brother and I so they had a newborn and me, the 18 month old both all at once. I laughed reading about how you jogged around the living room. Because, I had a friend drive around through every pothole in town one day just two days before my son arrived. Lol! Very beautiful rendition of your life Beth.

Thank you so much for reading my story and for you amusing comments. My little girl was 22 months old when they were born and still in diapers so it was like three babies for while. Not easy.

I found the detail in your chapter compelling. It is such a personal glimpse into your family life. I have never had children so it is not in my experience; your story sure shows the stresses involved. Your notes explain your motivation - a very worthwhile one: "I want my children to know us as we knew each other and not just as their parents"

"We had one of those aluminum foil-like Christmas trees that were popular in the early sixties. " I remember those trees- probably still have one in the attic?

I bet the picture was a beauty!!!

"The twins never wanted to be fed at the same time." Of course not (hhahah)

I have enjoyed the stories!

Thank you so much for the review and comments. I figured someone would comment on that tree. You're the first. Back then everyone had them.

This is lovely chapter with the good news that the twins were born at very good weights, and both were healthy. I can identify with the weariness!

Oh, I can imagine how raw your skin was from changing diapers and washing constantly! How marvelous it is to reflect and think how it was your survived those sleepless and busy time. And I like your humor about you and your husband pretending to be asleep!
Suggestion:
"seemed I was changing them constantly." (another blank line between paragraphs would be good here.)

Thank you for the reveiw and the nice comments. Thanks for the good suggestion. I think you are right. I changed it. Yes, those were busy day. At least I was young enough to handle it. I wouldn't want to do it now.

Having twins I'm sure was a wonderful, yet tiring experience. Your story is very interesting and
the imagery well done Beth. I remember the clothe diapers. I had to hang mine out and they would freeze before I got them on the line. Freeze dried diapers. No dryers back then. I did have an automatic washing machine. Today's mothers are spoiled aren't they! LOL Good job. Nancy

Nancy, thank you for the review and nice comments. Yes, It seems we had it a lot harder than they do today. But our mom's thought we had it easier. Some of them didn't have washing machines and our grandparents had wash pots in the back yard.
