There is no beauty without the son, LisaMay, no light that caresses our soul. The grey clouds bring gloom and sadness walks in. I love the sun for it's smile is the smile of the Son. He keeps us warm and keeps a glow on our heart.

Oh, it's so true that just the small hour or so of sunshine a day makes such a huge impact on our mood, doesn't it?! It allows us to 'hope' past the darkness and not feel 'buried' by it! ;) Thanx for sharing! ;) Yvette

I live in an area where we have sunny days most of the time and high temps, so when we have a rainy day we see it not as gloomy, but as a time of refreshments.

Beautifully written! How true it is that life can be so dreary and unfulfilled and then the sun comes peeking through with rays streaming down and all of a sudden, life seems to feel much better again!

A very well-written 5-7-5 suite. It is sometimes cloudy when we wake up and it seems the day will be gloomy without a ray of sunshine. The sun is still there just beyond the clouds.

This is an excellent piece that reminds us to look for the bright side of things and not to allow ourselves to get down. Easy to do right now as we hole up in our homes. I try to do at least one new thing a day to break the monotony of being home. Marilyn

I started off with a checklist of things to do and was a whirlwind of activity for day 1 of lockdown... now my motivation has turned to other things, such as writing more poetry. A chore will always be a chore.
