I enjoyed reading your contest entry. My only suggestion is to break your paragraphs up into smaller sections. It's called 'eye candy'. It seems like way too much to read. Many would pass over it. Good luck with the contest.

I remember the television series of Daniel Boone, and would look forward to each episode. He had quite a life, didn't he. I'm sure his wife would have liked him around a bit more though, and could quite understand her thinking he was dead after two years missing. There was a lot in this biography of Boone and I enjoyed reading all about him. You left a the word, 'died' out in the sentence below. Well done, this was a splendid read. :)) Sandra xx

Oh! Such a wonderful biography/adventure story about Boon. When I saw the photo, I first thought of Davy Crockett. At the end of this biography, I saw why.
A most detailed life-story of this man Boon. He certainly was one of these men described as "founders of America", settlers, explorers, hunters, rifles, no-fear men and their big families (10 children? wow). His main opponents the Shawnees Indians.
Also his later life, a man of justice, law and order...an interesting story. A good entry in this contest.

You have written a fascinating account of this frontiersman. I do not live in the States - I had heard of Daniel Boone but i think i mixed him up with Davey Crockett - thus showing that when history and legend get mixed, the real lives get blurred.

Here are some corrections I found:

I (if) anyone needs his biography brought forth it is Daniel Boone.

Boone's parents were Quakers (add full stop)

Boone spent most of the time of his youth hanging with some members.. (you could remove 'most of the time of' without losing the sense: Boone spent most of his youth...)

When Boone was 16. (put in comma instead of full stop and use lower case 'h' for his) His father sold his land

Concerns by school teacher(s) were expressed...

ended in a British defeat and Braddock's Death. (use lower case 'd' - death does not need a capital D)

Boone packed up his family and about 50 immigrant(s and) headed off

Boone convinced Blackfish he could get them (to) surrender

Logan and Colonel Richard Callaway Brought (brought) charges against Boone

By 1778, Boone was (remove was) had big debt problems

Cooper's Leatherstocking Tales published in 1823, bore striking similarities to Boon. (Boone.)

Boone's rescue of his daughter, Jemima (add comma here) from the Indians.

What I like about this contest is the fact that I learned new things about places and people from American history, like the story of this famous Daniel Boone.

Wow! I feel like I just enjoyed an incredibly interesting history class, I learned so much about Mr. Boone! I've always loved the stories of pioneers and frontiersmen; my daughter is named after Kit Carson's first child; Adaline, so your bio pulled me right in and held me captive until the very end. Very well-written, and an excellent entry for the famous person contest. Best of luck!
