A lovely scene you create in your Canzonetta poem Yvonne, in the enchanted wood, beside the brook. It's a really peaceful scene, with a touch of romance. Your repeated line works well to compliment each verse.
cheers,
valda

This was a stunning poem. You really created a mystic environment that was immersive and interesting. The photo does a great job at furthering the image, great work!

A Canzonetta poem for Potlatch Poetry
Just Once More

Hello, my friend,

A fine entry for the canzonetta poem potlatch poetry challenge. I would suggest that you make the font smaller. Right now is hard to tell where your rhymes are because the lines are to big to align. Well done, my friend.

I think that font problem varies from screen to screen. On here, it looks fine. It's hard to know. Thank you for reviewing.

This cansonetta poem, Just Once More, blends, ever so subtly, the wish to see a favorite spot again with the longing to see a special person once more as well. Once I saw that part in your poem, I welled up a bit.

Enchanting and beautiful.... those are the words that immediately come to mind, Yvonne. Don't know if it's just this new style or your talented pen, but this one gave me goosebumps with the way it almost sings as it conjures up the image of a young love long gone... Thank you for that touch of nostalgia this morning, my lady! ;) Yvette :)

This form, though not requiring a specific metre, is well suited to iambic tetrameter, and the repetition of 'the same' is most skilfully handled, enhancing the descriptive quality of the piece. Beautifully done.

-Very nice image
and presentation.
-An interesting form;
I might give it a try sometime.
-A well written poem with
vivid imagery and rhyme.
-There is also a peaceful mood:
I wouldn't mind being here, either:
"in this untamed, enchanted wood."

A very well-written Canzonetta about the magic brooke you wish to hear the tune just one more time. There are beautiful things in our lives that we will always remember no matter how long it takes.

There is a melancholy theme of remembrance here in your well metered and rhymed words, I loved the flow and the form here. Your words are full of melody, I have one suggestion for you for this line:

"In blink of eye, he's standing where" (I blinked by eye, he's standing there)

Love Dolly x

Thank you. That line goes on to say, "he's standing where I . . . "

that is lovely and the words and the sighting in the wood is enchanting
"that lilting air" must be my favourite words in amongst all this beautiful imagery
the font looks good large but a tiny bit smaller font might make each line fall where it ends and not skip down a line
or
it is just my computer screen messing it up
very good work
have a smiley day
blessings

Thank you for a lovely review. and very nice comments. I'm glad you liked that line. I think it must be your computer screen, because it looks fine on this end. 8-)
