What an interesting photo and poem, Trisha. There were never truer words than "First looks can deceive." It's such a sad truth as well, because with just a little time and thought, that facade can be pierced by eagle-eyed observers.
I like this one. I hope you are taking care.

There are wolves in sheep's clothing. The problem is seeing them. What a wonderfully written poem and I love the picture of the eagle. What a capture.
Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day and God bless.

The picture of the eagle as it swoops down on its prey is both frightening and wonderful. With your words, you capture that moment. Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing.

Wow this is so powerful. And words of wisdom!!!! You should never take your first look of something as is. I didn't think this looked like a mushroom but I DID have to really look at it to see what was going on in the picture. Loved this piece! Great entry!

A very deadly mushroom at best. What a dramatic photograph! Your message is clear, concise, and heed-worthy. Due diligence at all times is required.
I wish you the best of luck with the voters.

No, it's an eagle or hawk swopping down for prey. I enjoyed your contest entry, Bucketlist. Good job with the correct syllable count per line. Your well-chosen words can apply to animals and people who put up a façade--animals use camouflage and people use 'masks'. Thanks for sharing and best wishes.
Respectfully, Jan
