Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted

You always had great humor in your writing. Sad how you found this cat, but he's beautiful. Like the foreshadowing-- I sensed that this was going to be a good ending.
Thanks for the note on litter. Maybe that's what makes my cat spit bile every once in a while. I could towel dry her after every dump.

I'd laugh, but the story is a true one (even if you wrote it, Mary, not Kellis). It's too serious a story. If you weren't the caring cat-owner you are, you might not have noticed his problem the first time, let alone taken him back to the vet as quickly as you did. A few days? Everyone knows, cats hide illness and pain well.

I am eternally grateful, too, because my beloved Prissy was on clumping litter until I read about Kellis. So heal well, my friend. It's not at all fair that your wounds got infected. But then, whoever said life was fair!!!

God bless, and stay safe. My response to this piece can be found in the rating. (I'm just glad I still had one left.)

Thank you, Dawn, for this wonderful review and assignment of a coveted six! Greatly appreciated! I never could have imagined that clumping litter could be a problem, that is until it was!

The pink medicine explains the blood stained looking fur. I took our cat to a vet. The doctor said my cat needed surgery that would cost $1400. I said, "Give Zaphnathpaenea back."

He said. "That would be cruel."

I said, "By the time I was 12, I shot and ate everything I loved. Give him back."

We went home. Zaphnathpaenea was fine after a good trip to the litter box.

Hi Thomas, and thank you for the review and assignment of a coveted six. Much appreciated. Your cat's name...lol. That actually is blood around Kellis' collar area--mine after getting bit! I appreciate your time and talent!
