Thank you for sharing the inspiration for this true story about how we do grow-up in your notes. Your descriptions are gripping and intensified by the artwork. I am glad your post was well received in the contest- Joan

What a great story. It would be very spooky for a small child being chased like that. Ii you had a vivid imagination it would be the stuff of nightmares.

It's amazing when you are a child how fantasizing is so real and when playing those games we truly felt the emotion of fear when there was really nothing to fear. We just knew how to get into the mood. Great story

A very well-written true story flash about the games brothers and sisters play will always be in our mind and we always remember it with bittersweet memories about the good and the bad.

Great story, and the first time I ever heard you use your real name on FanStory. You really built up the suspense, and gave me goosebumps with your detailed descriptions of your rising fear. Having not read in advance that this was a "True Story" contest entry, I was convinced I was reading a real horror story, and you had me in your grasp (pun definitely intended). Good luck in the contest.

This is a funny twist on telling a true story. The intensity of the horrific chase is exciting as we soon realize that the danger is more imaginative that malicious. Fun stuff.

Well, the ending sure took me by surprise. Enjoyed reading your notes. I grew up with only one sister, so I never experienced that kind of rough brotherly play. I'm sure your mother had her hands full. Hugs, Lou

That is so funny! We had the same, but my brother did not think of that, however, he is four years younger than me. Had he been older, I am sure he would have dip one something like that. LOL
Good entry!

The ending was brilliant but I felt the note took the edge off it. A sudden shock can have that effect and not only on children. Imaginative play is so good for kids and soap powder sales too it would appear.
