Love it. Your husband was having an affair in the air with an airplane. You must have been somewhat relieved. Like how you transitioned from his flirting with the sky back to school and the kids. It is the mother hen who knows how to keep the brood together and keep the man in check. Blessed to read it.

Thank you so much for the review and enjoyable comments.
I got a man who I was sure would never cheat, so I thought he was just working late when he didn't come home.

This was another great read. I can't understand reviewer's criticisms. I enjoy your work, maybe seeing we go back so far together in here. A few spags. and I started early(,) buying cute little dresses

I was half(-) way angry

into a room and [a] cut a circular hunk

with Carol('s) art work.

Thank you so much for the review and for giving me another of your six stars. You have a great eye for catching spags. I think people who are used to reading fiction expect a different format. If they haven't read it before they expect it to follow one theme throughout.

Yeah and a lot of them want heaps more dialogue, not relevant in your conversational style talk with your late hubby. And don't get me started on them wanting more detail and more dressing up almost to fictionalize.

This is another well-written interesting recollection. I think I'd have mixed emotions about my hubby flying a plane too. A job, kids, hubby, and house to look after, I'm sure you had tons of free time for volunteer work, that's if you don't sleep. Nicely done as always.

I do understand the frustration of people coming into posts and not knowing what's going on. It happens to me often. I enjoyed reading. Having young children is a difficult time in life, but extremely rewarding. Thank you for sharing this story with us.

Thank you Barbara, I really appreciate the review and the six stars. I wouldn't take anything for my children. Having children is very rewarding. Even the frustrating things make me smile now.

I always fond your work inspiring, I think it's in line with your biography Beth, the events in your life are great. I remember when our girls were growing we bought a caravan when the girls were growing up, we'd go away on school holidays, (.my lob was flexible, and Elaine was a teacher, our kids loved that part of their lives. Beautifully written My friends, loved it. Blessings Roy

Thank you for the review and comment and for catching the errors. As for going on a holiday in that camper, stay tuned. Have you ever read Steinbeck's, Grapes of Wrath. Well our trip was a little the Joads leaving Oklahoma. LOL

Now, I loved this chapter and I must say that have great sympathy with your husband about the flying. I was a flight attendant for twenty years and I loved it. I also wanted to be a pilot, but in those days it was not yet possible.
Oh no, what an I in for now that might upset me, I thought. = Oh no, what am I in for ...
Great chapter and looking forward for what's next. Ulla:)))

Thank you so much for the review and the comments. There was a time I wanted to be a flight attendant, but my Dad shot that idea down. I liked small planes, but it was a shock for me to see him flying alone when I hadn't even been aware he was taking lessons.

I admire what you are doing. Family memoirs are priceless gift. From that stand point, I wouldn't change a thing. It should come from you, as you are, and in your words the way you express them. That is the charm of a memoir. Not perfection, heart.
I enjoyed reading the recollections from your heart. These things that stuck in your memory as important. Your family will LOVE them!
Carry on!

Oh my! What a wonderful and supportive wife! I can understand how nervous you must have felt and understood you objecting to cutting up a good shirt! Thank you for adding dialogue as it helped to pick up the speed of the post.

One typo:
"and lets go." (let's)

Thank you for the review and nice comments. He didn't think I was so supportive because I kept bitching about the shirt. LOL Thanks for seeing the missed punctuation.

LOL!! I purposely wore a very colorful shirt for the occasion so it would look good in a frame - lol! ;) I do hope the truck wasn't another 'husband doesn't get around to it' ventures... ;) Another wonderful story in your series, Beth - thanx for sharing! ;) Yvette

what an I in --> what am I in

Thank you so much for the review and comments. So you did it too. That piece of shirt is still around here somewhere. He kept what was left of if for a keepsake and every time I saw it I complained/ That truck took us on an adventure you won't believe. Coming up in a couple of chapters.
