Well it's obvious that it wasn't just a car to you. You had a relationship. What did you name your car? Hang in there as you mourn the loss. Keep writing and Drive safe.Bill

A good 5-7-5 senryu. The old car is personified by dying and going to the graveyard. I like that, it is an original thought and approach for the senryu. I can feel you were very attached to your old car. I can understand that. I drove a Fiat 500 for fifteen years!

You've written an excellent 5-7-5 poem for the contest that everyone will experience someday, except those who trade cars in every coupe of years.
Those cars in the picture look mighty old.
Nicely done
Good luck in the contest
Robert

When we lose an faithful object that carry us around the town it's a tragedy -
Get closer to the jungle...
I'm a Celebrity
Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

Oh my, I could feel this! I had a 1974 Chevy Vega that the floorboard actually rusted out in the backseat and I had to take it to the junkyard. I was heartbroken... Your words spoke to me. Thank you.

Depending on how long you've had your car, this can be very traumatizing. It's like losing an old friend. Someone or something that triggers fond memories. Love this!
