Nashville, TN; I love the idea of country music so did you visit some of the hot spots? This city is a great place to visit. Have you ever toured by some of the famous homes? I hope you enjoyed your conference and the city life.

I love Nashville and I have been there quite a few times now as I live in Tennessee. I've not don't the tour of the homes but I have a friend that wasn't to see Barbara Mandrell's home. I grew up on country music but now I like many kinds of music. I'm still an Elvis fan.

I remember my elder daughter being a bit slow earlier in her education, we thought she might need remedial lessons, she thought school was to play with her friends and play sport, I think like me, they inherited my athleticism, but we needn't have worried she was a late bloomer, and she's became gifted musician and the holder of two university degrees. I love your biography Beth, blessings, Roy

Thank you for your review and great comments. My son was a late bloomer too. He is a chiropractor now so he had a lot of schooling.

Nashville is a fun place to go. What a dream to go there and get paid. Great stories about the certificate for attending school and the costumes for Jack and Jill.

Oh, what a hectic time for you. And what an amazing husband to be able to care for your children while you were away for two weeks! I asked my mother-in-law to come help with the kids when I had to travel for training. I guess I should have trusted that my husband could handle things.
In your description:
"All of my children have stated to school. " (started going)

Thanks so much for the review and comments. Since I had my mother with me and my mother-in-law had never kept my children and was in another city, he had no choice but it worked out well.

Dear Beth, your story becomes more interesting with each chapter. I suspect because you are able to write more about the developing personalities of your children as they grew older. Your " retarded " son Don was quite a card to be dealing with as a young inexperienced mom.

As you remarked in one of your previous posts. " it would have helped if each child had come with an instruction manual."

Keep it coming! Delightful, wry humor re the kids; retard/tardy bit is priceless! Ditto the blue roots showing. And last-minute costumes for naught. Alas, more job woes. It's that much more distressing when you formerly got on so well. Cheers. LIZ

Thank Liz. Kids are always coming up with some crazy stuff. My son was especially funny. He now has a son who is a lot like he was as a kid. I appreciate the review and comments.

The trials and tribulations of a working mother. I can remember mine as well as I read about yours. I have a story but it would take too long to tell. LOL All I can say it wasn't easy was it. Well done and very interesting, Beth. Warm regards. Nancy:)

I'm having eye problems too. I can barely see to read or write. My eyes are itching and running water and I can't keep my fingers away from them.

This is another very well-written, interesting piece. I remember those last-minute things, oh too well. How I had to scramble around to get it done. It was only fitting that you go to school since you've been there the longest. I do hope she gets over it and your trip goes better than the last.

I had to laugh at your husband taking care of the children. The very few times I had to go away on business my husband totally messed up with the children and I had to have my parents come to visit. LOL I really enjoy reading these memoirs.

She was a a mommy's girl and had seized on the roll of being the baby in the family in spite of being the same age as her brother. (an extra 'a' before mommy's girl)

It was driving the pressmen nuts having have more and more of the aluminum plates remade. (maybe a 'to' before have

Thank you Barbara. I appreciate you catching the spags. One I corrected but now the other one. Actually, my husband did pretty well with the children. If he goofed up, he didn't tell me about ti. They probably got away with some things they may not have otherwise. No telling what they wore to school. LOL
