These chapters flow so naturally, it is a real pleasure to read them. Your children must love these precious insights into bygone family life.
I love the word confusions that come up here, your son must have really kept you perplexed (athough maybe he said you were complexed - joke)

I am waiting to see what will happen next to happen next during the trip.

What a beautiful narrated story. I was following and waiting for what next. The cahllenges of bringing up children came alive.

A chapter filled with all the joys and twists and turns of family and work life - life's rush hour, as it were - the style of writing is so accessible and it is a joy to read

Very nice chapter, Beth. School-going children, yes, they represent all kinds of new events and problems. Especially when both parents work full time. Hearing at the very last minute that there is a play the next day, and the children have to be dressed for it, and on top of it, you have to be present as well...I had that problem as well, I remember it perfectly. Stress!

Working alongside a jealous woman can't have been easy either. And then you and not she being asked to do this week's course! For you, a pleasure, also because your mom went with you, but for the colleague another reason to be jealous.

Entertaining and eventful chapter.

Thank you so much for the review and the nice comments. I've worked with a lot of petty women over the years. They tend to be more competitive than men. I don't know know which is worse, men or women. Men make better friends in the workplace if they know how to keep it just friends with out making a move on you.

Smiles, Beth. I had my share of all that too. I think it also makes a difference when you have a certain position in a job that is a tad higher than your collegues (men or women).
