Oh, how sweet! He wrote you a love poem - he missed you so much! I am so glad you had such a good time with your mother. And my goodness, you remembered all the details of the class - the tools! I wonder how you felt about the company after you learned how low your wages were compared to the others.

"I had spent quit a bit of money getting" (quite)

Thank you for the review and nice comments. I wasn't happy about the pay difference. If you keep reading you notice how unhappy I was about that. Thanks for seeing the typo.

Such a nice chapter again, Beth. And informative! I have never learned anything about printing, so this sounds all new to me. The explorations with your mom in Nashville I could enjoy as well, the music, the art exhibition, the Parthenon... I am glad you got along so well with your mom in these two weeks.
Very nice surprise to get a poem from a loving husband when you got home!

Again, I forgot the small errors:
    ...a lot tooffer. There offer.

What a wonderful trip you had! I am sure both you and your mother enjoyed it immensely. The old adage, " Absence makes the heart grow fonder," is true, and I am sure your husband found that to be so. LOL Did you enjoy the Grand Ole Opry?
Interesting. Nancy:)

Thank you so much for the review and comments. It was a fun trip. As to the Grand Ole Opera, we got there late and they were on intermission. We didn't have to pay to get in. so just sat through a few songs. I didn't recognize the artists that were on that night so we didn't stay till the end. But we could say we'd been there.

What a wonderful way to give your children happy memories. Thanks for describing Nashville so well. I have been there so you gave me happy memories, too. Think you meant to put a comma instead of a period after "famous singer at the time." Really enjoyed reading this real-life story.

Thank you for reviewing this. I really appreciate it and thanks for noticing the fact I had a period instead of a comma. The trip did leave me with a lot of good memories.

I'm still enjoying reading these memoirs. While stated at Fort Campbell we spent a lot of time in Nashville. It's a great city.

We had never been to Nashville before, and it seemed to have a lot tooffer. There offer. (To have a lot to offer. No clue why the next two words are there)

and it happened to be a day in which the famous singer at the time. Tennessee Ernie Ford was making a guest appearance. (you can put a comma after time)

Mother and I left Nashville going back to Jackson the next morning. (the following morning)

Thank you Barbara. I really liked Nashville. Since I live in Tennessee now, I've been there often. We enjoyed the Operaland Amusement park until they closed it and then the Operaland Hotel has some interesting thing to see. Thank you for seeing my errors.
