What a compelling picture of Mother Theresa. She certainly had the being and soul you speak of. I ask the age-old, timeworn question. Why are some souls full of light, goodness, selflessness and positive healing energy while others are full of darkness, selfishness, arrogant, and negative destructive energy? In a book Surfing the Himalayas we are told the soul is either always positive or always negative throughout our life times. That is comforting when we reflect how many we have run through with a sword at one time or another.

Liz, I am profoundly grateful fro your reflection and shared comments! I have also read that many souls come back over and over again to continue to work out hurdles they must overcome to move toward enlightment. The human ego has such a vise grip on those who simply will not let go of the sstruggle, WOW!

When you mention enlightenment, you might enjoy the book Surfing the Himalays. It is a fascinating story about someone skiing the Himalays who meets a monk who speaks of enlightenment. One of my favorite sayings, "Chop wood, carry water before enlightenment...chop wood, carry water after enlightenment." It how we do it that shows enligntenment.

I like the inventive rhyme scheme. That of the matching lines in each stanza rhyme. This succinctly describes the soul and how some live up to the sould they are given. You use consonance well throughout the poem too.
