I know what you mean .. I felt sorry for C-boy too...

...it?s tough surviving in the wild even for a lion ..

the rangers who loved him , reported that he did mate with a couple of females after despite he never had a pride of his own anymore ..

...also he lived to 14 which is quite a feat and died of natural causes .. 12 years is usually the max ..

C boy was an exceptional creature.

I hope you watched the video .. he looks beautiful, his mane blowing in the wind.

Most of the time it s more a case of the strongest wins so that the female mates with the subject that will procreate the healthiest and most resilient off spring...


usually it s a one against one fight and the strongest wins.


what happened to C-boy being attacked by a gang is not the norm ...

I m glad he survived ..he never had a pride of his own again but I read that he did have the pleasure of a female now and then
( smile) and he lived to be 14 years old .. the average is usually 12 .

... actually the word ..pride ...stands also for the male lion?s family ..

his ...pride ...are his females and cubs.
