Very well done. There was a lot of exposition in such a small story. I felt like I could see and feel the town when he first arrived; really good imagery there.

A nice little, but somewhat confusing tale you have produced here. I'm aware you are restricted to how much you can tell, by the small number of words you are allotted.
However, just to disappear out of someone's life for twenty-five years. and return after the death of their son's mother! The just to meet that son in the street--Josh Jr isn't a cool dude! He seems to me to be a brain-dead, phone-zombie. He seriously requires professional help.
All that said, good luck in the contest.
