Excellent iambic pentametre with a most unique rhyme scheme. The logic of your poem holds together well stitched together with solid imagery that unfolds as a poet would see it.
Just one typo in the author notes:
The rhyme scheme is ABABBCC DEDEEGG. should be FF in the last two lines.
Best of luck to you with the voters. I believe you captured the emotion of serenity with great aplomb.

Thank you so much, Pam, for taking the time to point out all the aspects of my sonnet your enjoyed and for pointing out that flaw. I find most of my artwork in Google images. Sometimes I spend as much, if not more, time looking for the right picture as I do writing the poem. rock/talks. Some folks call this slant rhyme. The sound is the same even though the sight looks different. Rod

You are very welcome, Rod. I am the same way about the images and presentation I do. Your images always look like paintings. I guess I go more by sound, and people do use slant/near rhyme.
