Your move must have been full of excitement but yet some doubt. I must find out how long you lived there in the next chapter and see if you liked the city of music, masks and fun!

I get the impression that you know a lot about New Orleans. It is an interesting city but you won't find out how long in the next chapter. Thanks for the review.

No, I have no idea what New Orleans is like. Just that's it has music, beads and lots of sites.

This is a wonderful write and I so agree that we all need to write about our relationship with our deceased spouses for our children. Before my husband passed he spent much of his last year writing stories of his life for his children and grandkids.

Thank you Patricia. I appreciate the review and comments. This is so nic that you husband wrote stories before he died. I hope your children appreciate that. Mine seem pleased that I'm writing.

Wow, Beth, it is a big move, I can see that, and I can also understand why it was not an easy one. To move into a city when you've been used to live in the country. I'm looking forward to see how this is going to pan out. All best, Ulla:)))

We moved a lot in our early years as well. After fourteen years of moving around we returned to Las Vegas and we stayed in Nevada. I don't think I would like New Orleans. Especially the weather. I did like the weather in Las Vegas but it became too crowded and we wanted something rural so we moved North to Ely. I can't help but compare our lives. Good Job, Beth. I am enjoying your story. Nancy:)

It sounds like this is going to be a huge adjustment for everyone. I do hope it turns out well, or that you can return home soon. The chapter is well-written, interesting start to finish. The part about the 4th was so sad. I'm sure it was a teary celebration.

Again, I enjoyed reading your memoirs. I understand how hard it is to move. Being a military spouse whether we wanted to or not, we moved and moved often. Each move brought a new start. Thank you.

Thank you for the reveiw and comment. I'm so glad Evan was out of the military when I met him. He was in Korea so I couldn't have followed him there because they were at War but I would have been so worried about him. I don't think I would have minded moving within the states as long as I hadn't accumulate a tot of stuff to move. I liked the adventure of seeing new places.

Thank you so much for the review and comments. It was interesting. Since I didn't have to do all the packing, I didn't mind the move.

Dear Beth, you could have titled this chapter, "some changes are Small and others are Big".
And the changes you list here, will have had an enormous impact on your children because of the culture difference between the two cities.
I hope you will write about some of them in your next chapter.

Your story is very interesting and I am sure your children will just love reading it. You add a lot of your inner thoughts which will be precious to your children. It is well-written.
