It's a poignant poem about the narrator missing his Mom. One can feel the sadness here, and that how much he misses her. It describes how the game bonded these two. Good luck!

Beautiful and sad in the same time. Did anybody was knocked out by the old bitch, life? In memorial, life goes on. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

This believable letter raises questions about its backstory, especially why the writer and his mom are separated on the day of the big baseball game, about which he is so excited.

Very poignant. Could mean different things. Did mom die? Was it a divorce situation? Perhaps a mom with a drug habit that kept her away. Whatever, it remains a poignant question, "Did you see me, Mom?" Thought provoking. Thanks for sharing.

This is certainly concise but extremely topical. You have said it well in this short poem. Your illustration, of course, pairs perfectly and sets the stage for your words.

I was thinking about the meaning of the title but as I read the poem the title now makes sense. Even if our loved ones are already in Heaven, we can still keep doing our best. "We go on" is well done. Best wishes in the contest!

While "Mom' could not ne there due to the virus, she was there in spirit. I enjoyed your contest entry, Mystery Writer. Your syllable count is correct per line, the image is perfect, and your words are heartfelt. Thanks for sharing and best wishes.
Respectfully, Jan
