This spiritual 5-7-5, Faith Comes with Risk, has the proper formatting and accepts that forgiveness is no guarantee of happiness ever after.

Very powerful, emotional poem, it's hard to believe it's just with 5-7-5 syllables, because it says so much. I think many of us have been in the position of the narrator of this poem; do I give the one who loves me, one more chance? This pulls at my heart-strings!

This poem shows a great example of why several people deserve a second chance in life. We need to make amends. simply said. Thanks for sharing your poem!

I'm glad you mentioned the concept of risk. I worked as an advotate for abuse victims. I recognize this as a possible example of the abuse cycle. I will speak from that perspective. What we're seeing here is the 3rd stage called the Honeymoon stage. In this stage, the abuser is apologizing, often with candy or flowers. They want things to work out and things do go well for a while until the tension starts again. The explosion put it all in jeopardy until the apology. This is a good topuc.

your poem Faith comes with Risk
asking Can you do it?
Has a very emotional touch to it when you said in your last line-
Please, just one more chance.
I know got me feeling I would give in.

It's hard to put your faith in someone that has hurt you. I can feel the uneasiness of wondering if you should trust again. The pull of love you once felt going through your mind just wondering if they are going to do it again.

This is a powerful entry for the Faith 5-7-5 writing prompt. I sincerely hope this poem does well in the contest. I send you the best of good luck!

The author describes the gamble of faith;where faith is perfect with GOD but imperfect with humans. The author comments that humans have the propensity to disappoint and their imperfections will shatter our faith. On the other hand, faith in GOD is absolute with no fallibility.

Thank you for this well written poem for the 5/7/5 challenge. It can be good to give someone that second chance... but not maybe that third, fourth or fifth chance. Thanks for sharing this message with us.

Oh, this one just hits really, really hard... doesn't it? Should you let the wound begin to heal for good or should you bandage it and hope it doesn't re-open....? Faith is certainly the only answer... great job! :)
