This is the one contest entry that delivers the requirement of a complete story in a maximum of sixty words. It's great, especially as it's so mysterious and enigmatic. you can read it several times, peeling back the layers.

Hello :)
I enjoyed your 60 word story.
I like how the transformation happens as we read but we only really realise at the end. Clever snaky word choice :)
Good luck in the voting booth.
Best wishes, Debra

Well, that certainly took me by surprise. I expect the Doc's colleagues are in for a surprise, too. Nicely done. With only 'sliding' and 'slithering', you could have made your case, I think. The 'darting tongue' might have gilded the lily.
Best of luck.
Peace, Lee

I could do with a dose of that liquid! I have trouble with arthritis which seems to be a common complaint with the elderly that I have suffered since my thirties, but I find exercise is the best cure so far, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Lol! I like it! I guess this chemistry professor will have some more explaining to do - especially if he can't talk at all and he gets hauled away by the pest control folks. Cute title, too! Hope you do well in the contest!

This was a fun plot. The character development and evolution draw the reader in. This could be an extended story. Imagine the stir unbeknownst to the professor. The reader can sit and giggle wondering what will happen.

This is rather interesting. He expected to take care of his pains and when he realized that his pain was gone, he rushed off to tell his colleagues not realizing that he now was a snake. Good luck with the contest.

I like this piece, it is well done and a nice twist on the classic Jekyll and Hyde tale. You did well with the limited words. Good luck in the contest, thank you for sharing, later daze.

This is a clever story - i love it. How appropriate that he took Snake Oil medicine - a cautionary tale. Hmmm... that's a toss up - whether to be free of arthritic joint pain or to be a snake. I guess his colleagues are in for a shock. That professor may have a short life... unless he is a talking snake and becomes a celebrity.
