This is a touching tribute to those great heroes who have given all they had for the welfare of this nation's people who are living in freedom. It could not happen unless someone is willing and ready to sacrifice everything to fight to retain the blessings America possesses.

Indeed they did, caring souls drafted into a conflict believing in a right, considering never the feelings of their foe and their intentions. My suggestion: was to see,
All praises to be free,
For the freedom they treasure,
They gave. All stated in my opinion.

This is a lovely tribute, reminding us that for every life lost, there was a family mourning . And yes, every day should be Memorial Day.
I wasn't keen on the line ' Their ages are froze', doesn't sound quite right to me...('Their ages frozen' maybe?)
Otherwise very well written, well done.

My husband and I have visited Arlington. It is very peaceful and humbling, especially the tomb of the unknown soldier. You have captured its essence here with appropriate simplicity!

There is something raw yet touching in this poem. The stark imagery shows the utter sacrifice. The short lines reflect all those lives that were cut short. Each feels like dropping a heavy stone, that quickly hits the ground. I think this effect - this slight choppiness is perfect with this theme! Awesome writing and well chosen rhymes!
My only question mark is the grammar in
"Their ages are froze,"
I might be missing something, but I believe it would be 'frozen', which destroys the rhyme - or 'their ages froze'.
Thank you for writing this tribute!
I found it to be a high impact poem!
Warmly,
J

A great little poem with a lot of sentiment. The rhythm works well, it does have a somewhat military cadence to it, well-suited to your theme. Some of the rhymes seem a bit forced though - "are froze" / "row by rows" reads a bit searched and pushed to fit. Perhaps rearranging the wording a bit, tweaking a noun into a verb maybe, you could smooth out the flow.
Overall, great job at conveying the feeling of appreciation for fallen troups.

I agree a soldier's sacrifice and mission are of paramount importance. You have extolled the souls euro lost their lives in battle. A very reverent poem.
Good luck in writing,

This is a beautiful tribute to those that have died to help us remain free. War is never acceptable nor the lives of lost young men or even children soldiers.
Thank you for sharing!
This should do very well.
Good luck!
Blessings and a humongous hug-it-out hug!

This is a heartbreaking entry for the In Their Memory writing prompt. I give this poem/story thumbs up for a great tribute to our soldiers' bravery in war. Well done!

Everyone who serves is a potential hero. Faced with the decision to act in a heroic manner, the true hero never pauses to think about what he should do, they just act and worry about it later, that is those who survive their heroic act. We owe the valiant warriors everything. Sadly many of the survivors go unnoticed and definitely unappreciated.
