I like the tone of this poem to remember those who sacrificed their life for a peaceful like of many.
I really like the last two lines:
For the freedom they treasure,
They gave their last full measure

This is a nice a sad poem about the memories we have and get to have because of the ones who have fallen for us. Nowadays more then ever Vets and active service need our support. It is also sad that mothers and daughters have to whiteness a folded flag come home. Good luck with the contest.

A great tribute to those who laid down their lives so we could have ours. Excellent descriptive imagery and visuals. Great picture. This should do very well in the contest, I wish you luck.
These stood out:
Each considered a hero,
But they all know,
Their task was to see,
We all remain free

That was very beautiful. I've been to Arlington, very moving. The changing of the guard, wow, and the rules they have, wow. If you don't know them look it up on the net. I was not aware until somebody clued me in. But I may be talking to the choir, am I?

I like the picture, the color of your poem's background and the poem itself. The fact that you rhymed everything is great.
Nicely done.
I had the privilege of witnessing an Arlington ceremony, and I think every high school child should visit the cemetery to know how many have indeed sacrificed for what we all have.
Thanks for posting.

In so few words, you took us to Arlington where we could see the "Garden of Stone" and how by "rows and rows" these many heroes are laid to rest. Best wishes in the contest!
