Hello, anonymous,
Interesting entry for the How do you write your poetry? contest. Your love sonnet form in HOW DO I LOVE THEE? Style. It's beautiful with a wonderful rhythm. I like it. It's very classic. Good luck in the contest.

Ah, Sonnets of the Portuguese was my very first poetry reading. I wished for the book my grandparents once had in their home. It was well read and loved. A fine How-to in the voice of the famous poetess.
Sending you my best today as always,

This Spenserian sonnet, A Treatise On How I Write by EBB, presents a probable explanation which we may accept as as good as one any from Ms. Browning.

What a lovely Sonnet in a style of Elizabeth Barrett Browning's original love poem "HOW DO I LOVE THEE". I love "love poems", especially in style of Sonnet.
Well done.

I often wonder how poets come up with their poetry. This contest is an eye opener. I see that the brain power of a poet is quite amazing. Well done!

Hi, Rebecca. Well, I don't know if my brain power is amazing. I must admit it was a challenge to step into EBB's shoes, but I had fun trying to. Rod

Sonnets are perfect for conveying love and you did it so well here. Love is a natural inspiration for poetry. And the poems are written to delight the beloved. Best wishes in the contest!

My friend, you penned a beautiful poem in lovely verses and excellent rhymes; unique/original verses, "I'll fashion lines that end in pleasing rhyme, their cadence mimicking my heart's profile."Simply awesome; thanks for the treat.
