The scent of burning leaves brings thoughts of long ago

This is a cleverly written piece, conjuring up several layers of meaning - the Indian summer referring to an extended spell of warm, dry weather; the imagery of long-gone Indian braves dancing around a fire; the smell of the burning leaves summoning the ghosts of memories; and maybe Indian smoke signals from the fire. The illustration is perfect. If voters are sensible, this should win, or at least feature very highly.
