This a wonderful love story. I wish you all the best in the contest. This is the way love is suppose to be. Unfortunately, for too many people they don't have that kind of love in their lives. I am happy to say that I was one of those fortunate ones as well.

This was a great story, Willie. Jim and I were married for 56 years. He was the love of my life. Hey Willie. I am from Mt Vernon Illinois. We are the same age group. I am 85. I spent many a happy summer day at Benton lake swimming and enjoying the summer days. I think I will always miss my home town. Well done. Nancy xxx

We probably ran into each other and didn't know it. I spent many days at that swimming hole. I remember getting mouth burn from the creasol they put on the pool tower. I couldn't get Carol to go in
the pool with me, she never did learn to swim. When she tried to float, her head would go down and her feet would come up. Thank you, Nancy for nice review and stars. Mt Vernon Rams, hmmmmm!

Yes! Joyful memories I recall often. Yes, I would bet we were there at the same time. LOL Small world isn't it? Yes it was the Mt Vernon Rams! We remained undefeated for the years we were there. Basketball that is.

Wow - I have read and reread this real life story of lifelong love starting at the tender age of 13/14. What a great life blessing to find one's soulmate so young but to share life's journey almost every step of the way. The love is almost tangible in the words and details described and then the moment of revelation, her presence lingers 'feel her moving around in bed.' Thanks for sharing this inspiring life story & how I wish I had 6 stars !

Willie you were blessed. It is so rare to find anyone who can say I was her first and she was my first. That's the way it was with my husband as well. Only "one" is enough for a lifetime, right?
