What a neat picture to reinforce your poem! I enjoyed your use of the Minute poem format and its rhymed quatrains. I especially liked your referring to the wind as a "cleansing breath". Best wishes in the contest- Joan

An interesting take on the seasons. Whimsical and lyrical. S3/L1 sets this poem apart, so does personifying the wind. Strong rhyme scheme throughout. S3 also presents the promise of better times ahead.

Hello Tony,
This is an interesting subject for the minute poem -
the ever changing seasons, aided by the winds.
You have very good connection in these lines which
are often jerky due to the format.
As we near the end of summer, the minutes are slowly slipping away
as will the leaves, but the leaves will return, like Persephone,
though the minutes are gone forever.
Well done.

the ever changing seasons, aided by the winds.

Time slips by with the seasons and, talking of time, I've just finished reading 'When You Wish'. Some marvellous tales there and unexpected twists in the wrinkles of time. I particularly liked the staircase. There are dangers in relentless curiosity! Great to revisit Veronica and Mildred, too.

Here is a short poem about the wind. It speaks of change. Changing from
tattered leaves clinging to a bare branch to leaves under foot, mulch for new plants to be nourished. There is a lot in this piece. Although brief in content it is rich in images and symbolism that set the mind working. A very interesting poem. Well done cheers Cass

Your controlling idea of wind here caused the piece to move throughout as if being blown by the wind. I could feel the movement. The final stanza makes the reader stop to think. Great Job.
