Hello poet, you penned a brilliant poem reflecting upon contemporary issues and how it impacts us; quite a verse with meaningful verses and excellent ryhmes and above all, a great message; thank you for sharing.

Thank you for this wonderful review. Events of late have been on my mind...I'm just thankful for being alive, healthy and with family. I hope all is well with you and your family, thanks again for reading. :)

That was so beautiful. I am so glad that you came to that realization. When I was married backint the 50's, there was a lot of wife swapping going around. One of my husbands good friends wanted to do just that. My husband asked what I thought, and I told him. HELL NO. I stayed a virgin until my marriage and
sure wasn't going to be an adultress now.

Good for you! I'll bet your husband was secretly relieved you said no. My husband is the only man I've been with and that suits me fine. Thanks so much for reading my poem. :)

I think this pandemic has made me appreciate the smaller things in life much more. Before this happened we were living in a world where everyone seemed to take everything for granted. A well written piece, I enjoyed reading it. Good luck in the contest!

Thank you, I agree with you. I was one of those people who didn't appreciate what I had...I do now! Thanks for reading. :)

I think this pandemic has certainly made many people unhappy with their lives. Those people who live in apartments have not been able to enjoy a garden and overcrowded housing has caused discontent and jealousy of others. Possessions are useless without a loving family, a poignant write, love Dolly x

What truth is in this little poem. If what you wrote is taken to heart, people might find more satisfaction in their life. Best of luck in the contest!

Hello, anonymous,
Excellent entry for the One Word: Jealousy writing prompt contest. The presentation is beautiful...I love the color scheme. I like how you approached the topic from a positive point of view. This is the best one in the voting booth so far.

I like how you bring the current times into this piece. It is hard to be jealous of people when there are not people around to be jealous of. This piece shows more than just the jealously that some can feel it shows that it can be overcome.

Thank you for reading, I know that it can be overcome because I got past it. Now I'm just thankful to be alive and loved. Thanks again for reading.

You hit the nail on the head with this one! I feel like this pandemic has made people feel more thankful for eachother and it has become less about what you have and more about who you have. I love this poem and its definitely worthy of six stars!

Very nice poem- I just struggled a little with the rhythm of it.
On the positive, you make some very good points.
'If I envy it's for all that we have lost.' That is great writing.

Thank you for taking time to read and review my poem.

This is such a good write as it addresses a common human issue as well as the realization that all this social media has brought to light our own feelings of being less successful etc. Good write.
