Hello, my friend,
Excellent entry for the 75 Word Flash Contest. It's hard to tell a complete story in flash fiction but you managed well. Poor little birds always in harm's way. I like the ending.

My Paco always had a watchful eye on the baker's swallows and their chicks.
Sadly, it's in their nature ..the hunt ..
I prayed a lot for those chicks and I did lecture my Paco ..
I think those that go bird hunting are the real murderers .. for them it's just a sport.

Oh no, the poor kitten laded in water. I bet that was not the plan. I could feel the anxiety they felt watching this whole event go down.

Yeah, that sounds about right. Always trying to get those pesky birds. My daughter has a beagle dog who would chase them and catch them sometimes. The crazy thing would even climb trees. Thanks for sharing this humorous and well written work. Well done!

Thanks for your review. That beagle dog sounds a bit of a character. Their hunting instinct is very ingrained.

They will do these things, LOL, but mostly, they never win. Cats are natural trackers, sometimes just for the fun of it, other times for the kill. This was a lovely story of the chase, and the ultimate failure of the cat. Well done, and good luck! :)) Sandra xx
