Very funny stuff here. Sounds like you4 genie is a bit conservative. This is not the year for wishes coming true. Perhaps something like asking to be in the front seat of the train that leaves the tracks when the volcano blows so you don't miss anything.

This is funny until it becomes serious, then it gets funny again. Politics are never funny. I'm glad the genie acted like God...no favorites. It is funny how in a basketball foul shot the player makes the sign of the cross, essentially asking God to help them make the basket. It is time for the opposing team to make the foul shot. The player makes the sign of the cross, essentially asking God to help them make the basket. Warring nations pray to God to win. Different political opponents pray to God or ask a Genie to take sides.

This is funny until it becomes serious, then it gets funny again. Politics are never funny. I'm glad the genie acted like God...no favorites. It is funny how in a basketball foul shot the player makes the sign of the cross, essentially asking God to help them make the basket. It is time for the opposing team to make the foul shot. Hmm, this is interesting. Some parts are funny. The needed repetition in each line is there and they make perfect sense. They go with the theme of the poetic tale. The references are modern and relatable too.

Wouldn't that just be the luck: To finally find a Genie who has no wishes left! Bummer. My favorite phrase is :"I pawned that lamp, got money fast,
I don't know how long It will last, with economics on it's ass." Good luck with the contest.

A very well-written repetition poem about the genie in the lamp who doesn't seem to serve but wants to be served by the one who rubs the lamp it is the best decision to get rid of it as quick as possible.
