Oh, my! This is quite a post, author. How lovely to rise each day with this image of fifty years of devotion for your loved one. It's very inspirational to see you take your relationship in hand and share it with us. You've done an amazing job with eight words. I wish you many more satisfying sunrises with your spouse in the future. Well done! Lynda

People go through life searching for that special one, most settling for a substitute and any chance of happiness. It's always nice to know a few find the true meaning of joy. Thanks for sharing.

What a sweet poem and sweet thought. You have certainly used your eight words to create a nice image. Your artwork really complements your message.
I had a little trouble with your word "anew." Can anew be used as an adjective? I think I would use a good adjective like surprising or maybe an alliterative one like scintillating or sparkling.
I think you have a winner here. I would change that last word though.

A very well-written eight-word poem about a marriage that lasts fifty years but every day is like a sunrise filled with promises of a perfect joyful day each morning.

Thank you for the fantastic review, Pam. Yes, every day is always special. We have a firm grip on our happiness and enjoy every minute. I dearly appreciate the gracious stars and good luck wishes. I'm glad you liked the piece.

You are very welcome. I didn't know if the poem was biographical but assumed it was. I did enjoy the poem.
-
To be honest, the years are a bit exaggerated but she still brings out the best in me. I'm sure when we do reach 50 years, it will still be the same.
-
I won't tell anyone that the years are exaggerated! The thought is still the same.

Best of luck with this "8 Word Poetry Contest" entry. Compared to a sunrise I guess the only thing that can compare is a forever love for each other. Best regards.
