What a wonderful and moving story, Beth! You picked an excellent character to have an interview with -- someone truly worthy of recognition, who hasn't received enough of it. I'm sorry I didn't read this in time for the voting (my life has been a little difficult, this past week).
I heartily agree that the horror of those times should never be repeated, and we must always be on our guard against antisemitism, racism in all its forms and fascism. It's "God and country," never the other way around!

Thank you for reading this and for the wonderful stars. I'm sorry it had stopped paying anything. I was very impressed with her story. This was a terrible period in history.

You're very welcome, Beth. Sometimes I read things even when they don't pay. This piece was very meaningful. I am in a group on Facebook that shares a lot in memory of Holocaust victims and survivors, and I am fairly certain that I heard about the group this young lady was in, if not the young lady, herself. True heroes!

Scary, isn't it, how history repeats? I commend you on seeing what is as plain to most external observers as the nose on their face, yet apparently completely missed by almost half the population it affects the most.

The excuses for supposedly moral people supporting gross immorality haven't changed in 80 years.

Well done.

Thank you so much for the review. I'm always pleased when I see people who recognize what is happening. I live in a state where it seem most have their heads buried in the sand.

Sophie Scholl is my hero. I just posted about her as well. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful post, dear Beth.

I see many parallels repeating itself on the world stage once again; Democrats calling our sitting president Hitler, when it is them robbing us of free speech, freedom to worship God and speak openly of our values. They call us deplorables? The Nazi court that held Sophie called her sub-human. Notice here in America it's okay to violently protest, destroy and attack conservatives in the streets and ruin once peaceful streets. Hitler is as Hitler does. Sophie stood against such things and stood for truth. So do I.

I thought I'd speak from the other side of the spectrum.
Sending you my best today as always, and best wishes for the contest. I hope this wins.

Thank you so much for the review. I let Sophie speak her truth and let the reader take from it what was there. I admire her for standing up for her truth. Unfortunately Conservative values have been pretty much trashed by lies, and not always from the democrats. That is why I consider myself and an Independence. The Bible speaks our against all liars.

I'm actually a Conservative Pro-Life Christian and a Libertarian. Our sitting President is the only one close to upholding the values I cherish: pro-life, constitutional freedoms like free speech which are under assault today, and secure borders. He has appointed and confirmed 215 conservative federal judges. This is huge to me as a conservative Christian. If I had to vote for no liars, it wouldn't be earth proper. Our world is a fallen place and we need Christ and His redemption. Thank you, again! Sal :)

This is an excellent entry in the contest. I like how you were able to pull up a little known person and make them relevant. I didn't know the Nazis used guillotines. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you for the review and comments. I wasn't aware of the guillotines either until I read her story.

Hello, my friend,

Excellent entry for the Conversation with the Past contest.

I see the correlation between Hitler and Trump, and their governments. The ending is very sad.

You followed the rules of the contest well.

Good luck in the contest.

A story about a girl who stood up to Hitler. Than you for this short trip in time to understand this element of history better. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings and the contest.

Well done, Beth. I very apt comparison between what was and what is. Scary, how the similarities line up. We each chose a different madman from history to illustrate or views about the present. Synchronicity.

Some review gave my script 3 stars--and it wasn't even politically motivated (I think).

Best of luck at the polls, Beth.

Peace, Lee

Well Lancealot didn't care for mine, and I didn't mention any names of anyone living today. :LOL Too many people have don't hear what they don't want to hear. Thanks for the review. There isn't a lot of fake dollars as stake on this contest, but I with people would read theim them both and think about what we're trying to say.

This was excellent and glad I had a SIX still. Quite a few suggestions for change if you like. who wasn't of Aryan de(s)cent

In the following I had to correct myself as to the time the girl is in.....You live in simpler times. It (shouldn't be easy)[couldn't have been easy] for him to sway so many followers.

He and his public relation(s) man,

Surely people must be rep(ulsed)[elled]

This is an amazing story that you have made possible through the magic of time travel. I find the comparison to Trump more than a bit coincidental and feel you have hit the proverbial nail on its hard to miss head.

Thank you, Gert, I really appreciate you reviewing this. I needed that review to have enough to get it recognized. It is different from what I usually write. I've been writing my biographical story since I got back on but I thought I'd try something different.
