Heartrending. Condolences. Startling imagery--at the bottom of every bottle (impressive BOTT alliteration!)--heart was splintered. Powerful! Cheers. LIZ

Way to go, John! Thank you for your service. I know the bottle, it was a friend of mine for a very long time. When the nights were bright I would sit outside and watch the stars, trying to live, but one never forgets. I did what you are doing. I wrote my feelings on the computer. No one saw them, but I stayed sane. :) Now, FanStory is my home and we all need a place to stay with covi out there. Take care my friend and take care of your loved ones.

Wow. This is a powerful and touching poem. I'm sorry for your loss and that you had to experience this. But your poem does a wonderful job of conveying how this impacted you. Well written.

This is a very sad and touching poem. It's obviously very personal and is well written. I think it's a very nice way to honour a friend as even if it won't bring them back, it helps other people share him with you. Thanks for sharing this and have a great day

Absolutely, I spent too many years drinking about it. Today I?m sober and I want to honor my friends and share them to keep them alive in a way. Thank you for this wonderful review!

I really believe that writing about one's grief and troubles is a release and helps to deal with both. The post I just read comes from the heart and is a tribute to the one you lost. I am so sorry for your loss. You have done a wonderful job with this post.

Yes. Writing is great therapy. It connects us with our spirit within, and draws out the best from us. Releases emotions.
Wonderful tribute to a fallen friend. Thank you for allowing all of us to remember and appreciate with you.
Love the photo of flowing water. Life goes on, and our hearts refresh. Water being the symbol of the soul. It's important for it to keep moving. In and through.
The use of purple is always impactful. Beautiful, royal, healing.
The non-use of punctuation works well here, adding emphasis to the words.
Asking questions without question marks. Nice.
Well done!
Lucy

Very nice writing. Where did you go given a measure of time you were ripped from the world. Your body was broken and torn apart. Like my life after I needed a new start. The pain was too deep I drank to forget you. I fell to my knees and wept. Beautifully writing and is therapeutic good you can write about losing your friend.
